Self-Portait
Dear Kristy,
So glad to hear you got a generator! I can see it now. You will be using that full time before you know it. That would be totally Alaskan. I hate to brag but the weather is beautiful here in Blacksburg. I couldn’t imagine not having Fall. That is my favorite season.
Well, this weekend I am getting out of my comfort zone. I will be the speaker at our church’s Ladies Retreat. I have been working on what I will say for weeks. I am soooo not like Jeff and can prepare and present like it is brushing your teeth. After it is all said and done I might have an ulcer. I am looking forward to the weekend though. It should be fun being with the ladies of Northstar. And you will be glad to know that I am sharing one of our escapades as one my illustrations. Our lovely trip to Canton will soon be known to all. I am even taking the little scrapbook you made to pass around.
The ladies needed a photo of myself for the retreat. So being a photographer there is great pressure in that. I thought about what I would do to take my photo and suckered Jeff in to taking it. Below is the outcome of the photo shoot. Not a good thing. The ones of Jeff are what I took to get the composition the way I wanted it. The rest are me bossing him around which is never a pretty sight. Sorry. But I knew you would get a kick out of the photos and maybe would even bring back memories of me in action at a photo shoot. It is never fun taking your own photo, but that’s neither here nor there.
Captured,
Carolyn

I’m glad I know you guys well enough to totally laugh whole-heartedly because I can almost hear you and what was going on. Hilarious! Great pictures of you!
